Advancing women’s rights and gender equality through advocacy, protection, and empowerment.
KKCDO’s Gender Justice program aims to eliminate discrimination, violence, and harmful traditional practices that disproportionately affect Afghan women and girls. Through community dialogue, education, and strategic advocacy, we help shift attitudes and promote gender-equitable norms across multiple regions.
By engaging religious leaders, educators, families, and youth, KKCDO builds inclusive environments where women and girls can participate fully in education, decision-making, and leadership roles. This program strengthens both local and national efforts to uphold human rights and ensure equitable access to services and opportunities.

KKCDO works at the grassroots level to eliminate child marriage, forced marriage, and other harmful traditional practices that limit the agency and safety of Afghan women and girls. By educating parents, leaders, and youth, the program fosters behavior change while supporting protective community structures
KKCDO establishes trusted spaces for women and girls to learn, share, and access psychosocial and legal support services in a confidential environment.
We work closely with imams and community elders to promote gender equality from within the cultural and religious context of Afghan society.
The Gender Justice program doesn’t just protect women—it empowers them to lead. KKCDO identifies and trains local women leaders who champion gender equity in their communities, serve as peer mentors, and shape decision-making spaces previously closed to them. These women become enduring advocates for justice, inclusion, and peace
We support children from Grade 1 through high school, with a focus on early education and retention of girls.
You can volunteer, donate, or sponsor a child’s education. Visit our Get Involved section to learn more.
